Further Information

It’s that time again – the annual PTA Posh Pie & Quiz Night!

This has become one of the most popular child-free PTA events (though older children may well enjoy it too) and the evening is open to everyone so come along as a full team (8 max) or smaller groups – depending on team quantities / sizes we sometimes combine groups to help with space but it is always a welcoming and friendly evening so don’t be shy!

As you have all come to expect, the evening promises outlandish and often unpredictable fun, and this year we have co-hosts so maybe an added dimension of the unexpected should be expected.

The food will be served up by the award winning Piecaramba! team who return to the quiz for the seventh time now. Those who have tried their pies before will know just how delicious they are. You can visit their website here – www.piecaramba.co.uk

This year the quiz is sponsored by Cardinal Energy Ltd – a local, but national, solar energy supplier. Not only do they offer solar panel installations, the also provide solar battery storage systems and electric vehicle charging points. You can contact them here – www.cardinalenergyltd.co.uk/contact

Now back to the quiz - as usual, the evening is BYOB so bring along your own drinks and snacks and there will be interval games to play so please bring some loose change for those – they are always highly popular so don’t miss out on the fun.

Please arrive between 6.30 to 7pm so we can make a prompt 7.15 start.

The evening usually finishes between 10pm and 11pm and it is always appreciated if you can spare 5 minutes at the end to help stack chairs and tables, etc.

Tickets can be bought from here –

Fundraising

All fundraising go towards making the children's education at St John's Primary School a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The past couple of years has seen the PTA fund 15 iPads, cases and storage trolley to add to the 15 already in situ (also paid for by the PTA), contributed £3,000 towards improving the woodland walk, new playground markings including snakes and ladders, a mirror me 3 station, compass clock, 4-way hopscotch and a mini-trail.

We have also funded a new projector, classroom rugs, boomwhackers, RE resources, floodlights, Christmas pantomime, class Christmas presents and contributed £2,400 towards the annual Yr6 residential (£80 per child).

As you can see, the PTA fund a wide range of equipment, activities and experiences to enhance the children's educational experience whilst at St John's.
