Please join us via Zoom on Monday 8th February at 7.30pm for our Annual General Meeting!
This year, we are hoping to adopt a new constitution (our Charity's governing document which sets out the rules and procedures by which committee members govern the association), which is available to view in our Documents section above (click "About Us" -> then "Documents").
Currently the PTFA committee is made up of the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. These roles will be open for nominations as well as the new roles of 'Communications Secretary' and 'Ordinary Committee Members'. Even if you just want to be on the committee without a specific named role, you will need to nominate yourself as an Ordinary Committee Member so that you can be voted in. Without being on the committee, you can still volunteer to help the PTFA but you won't be eligible to vote on any decisions we make. Role descriptions are also available to view via the Documents section.
Please note that everyone who attends the AGM will be able to cast their vote on the nominations for committee members and on the new constitution, so please come along and have your say! As the meeting will be over Zoom, you are more than welcome to just dial in and listen - there is no obligation to turn your camera on and all participants will remain on mute throughout, using the 'chat' facility to vote and ask questions if desired. The AGM is a really important meeting for shaping the future of the PTFA so please, please join if you can.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please do get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see as many of you as possible on the 8th February!

Our PTFA is a registered charity whose main aim is to raise much needed funds to improve equipment and provide additional resources to enhance our children's education and the facilities in school, which are not necessarily covered in the school's annual budget. Not all of our events are fundraisers. Our main profitable events are our summer and Christmas fairs. The money raised from these has helped to upgrade our school's facilities, purchased new computers, cameras, books and helped fund coach trips for educational visits.
