EASTER CELEBRATION DAY: BAKE-OFF and CHOCOLATE TOMBOLA on March 31, Friday.
As part of the Easter Day celebrations, we are holding a Bake–Off Competition. Our theme this year is Alice in Wonderland/Easter. There are no size restrictions, we welcome large cakes and cupcakes, diddy cakes and loaves but we do ask that the cakes be nut-free, and if anyone wishes to bring in vegan and gluten-free cakes, it would be greatly appreciated.
There will be six prize winning cakes, with one winner from each category.
The competition categories are: Most Eggsellent Cake, Entirely Bonkers Cake, Something out of a Fairy Tale Cake, Imagination has Run Riot Cake, Cake Fit for a Bad-Tempered Queen, and Oops! Did Not Survive Trip to School Cake.
The students can choose the category they wish to enter in, or the PTA will decide the best category for the cake. Please bring the cakes into school on the afternoon of Thursday, March 30 or Friday morning, March 31 in a named (student name and learning community/form) cake tin or Tupperware that the students can collect from Reception after school. Cakes brought in on Friday morning must be taken to Mitchener Hall. Judging and prize giving will take place from 10:50am, during first break and the cake sale from 1:10pm during lunch break. So come along to Mitchener Hall and help us with our fundraising efforts. The students can buy cake to eat at school or a whole cake (prices ranging from £5 to £10) to take home or share with friends.
The PTA are also holding a Chocolate Tombola stall alongside the cake sale. Students will be able to wear their own clothes in exchange for a chocolate donation. Chocolates must be related to Easter e.g., chocolate eggs, bunnies, etc. All clothes must be suitable for school. If they have PE on the day, they may come in their PE kit or own clothes suitable for the PE lesson. The PTA will be on hand from 7.50am onwards to collect the Easter chocolate donations at the main school entrance. Cakes brought in on Friday morning must be taken to Mitchener Hall by the students.
We look forward to seeing some wonderful cakes and hope the students have a fun Easter Day.
