Description
Why not come and find out more about us and ways in which you can help at our next meeting?
Starting off first in our calendar is our PTA AGM meeting on the 24th September 2024, in the Buzz Room at 7.30pm.
All are welcome so please come along as we will be voting in our Committee members and hearing the Treasurers & Uniform Shop Reports for the last academic year. We will also be discussing the areas that need PTA funding.
PTA Committee Vacancies
PTA Treasurer
The PTA Treasurer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that proper procedures are followed for handling money, banking, and making payments. They should provide regular financial updates to the committee and prepare end-of-year reports for the association’s AGM. As the PTA is registered as a charity, the Treasurer must also complete the necessary annual return for the Charity Commission.
PTA Secretary
The PTA Secretary plays a vital role in preparing for meetings, working closely with the PTA Chair to ensure everything is in order and generally manages the association's correspondence. During meetings, they are responsible for taking minutes, accurately recording attendance, action points, decisions, and proposals. Additionally, the Secretary maintains the association’s records and ensures that it remains compliant with regulations.
Full support and ongoing guidance will be provided by the existing the PTA Committee members for both roles. For more information on either of these rewarding roles please email: boxgrovepta@gmail.com.
We all understand the demands of modern life, and that is why the PTA welcomes volunteers with flexible schedules. Whether you work full-time or part-time, or you prefer to contribute sporadically when it aligns with your busy life, your support is crucial to our cause.
Join us on the 24th September and become a vital part of our efforts to create a brighter future for our children!
